Youtube - Featured Video problems (Bad Quality)

Anyone who uses Youtube is aware of the fact that you can put a featured video on your main channel page. Normally the still image you select in the Video Options will appear there in high quality. However, just randomly today, almost all my videos that I choose to be displayed as a featured video, on main page are terrible quality now.

Has anyone else noticed this with their own channels?

Also please go to my channel and confirm whether you see it in that quality as well. I've had like 6+ people tell me they see it in the same bad quality, but like 2 people said they see it in good quality still.

Anyone got a clue on how to possibly fix this?

The image on the right was the original video thumbnail for this video, before it was changed to what you see on the left.

For me it looks exactly the same as your screenshot. Have you tried re-uploading it?

Yeah I tried reuploading it. The actual video itself is fine when playing, but the thumbnail image just looks terrible.

Someone said every channel is having this problem now, I wonder if it's a global bug, or just one of the stupidest changes that youtube ever made.

They are most likely working on a new censorship thing. I've seen some youtube feature with images not suitable for young people.

Looks like their censorship system is affecting every single HD video it seems.

Actually not even HD videos, some of my "high quality" videos of 640x480 resolution have it too. (Ducktales)
